Confirm the behaviour. Did a re-index some time after hardy was installed. It seems like the issue is not with tracker itself but with the tracker-search-tool. By using the command line "tracker-search" you can list the files that contains the search word, it is just that they do not show up in the tracker-search-tool.

* For most search terms there are no results displayed (but there are hits)
* For some terms partial results are displayed
* For some terms all results are displayed

Maybe Affected package above should be "tracker-serach-tool" instead of "tracker". Running hardy updated as of today.
