Hi Chris,

Sorry yes the problem was on one PC FutjisuSiemens with intrepid ubuntu
installed with same error. I solve the problem with complete uninstall of
system-tools-backends and dependencies and reinstall the complete package
including the dev package and reinstalling the gnome applet package.
