I can confirm this bug.
In my case is only a few seconds (10 to 15), but I think that this is because of my processor (AMD X2 4400+). I'm using Lucid 64 Beta1 with all the updates applied.
The problem occurs when you select a large section, like "System", or "Provided by Ubuntu", the application turns unresponsive (the window turns grey) and one of the cores have a 100% utilization.
