did you add any new repositories? and also try changing the servers go
to system -> Admin -> Software Sources -> in " Download from" select
other and then click on select best server

Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed

Bug description:
Binary package hint: software-center

Install fails with dialog "Requires installation of untrusted packages" -with no option to accept anyway. This happens for almost every package I have tried (including gvim and mozilla software). Cannot locate a preference or way to override.
The same packages return a similar message with apt-get, but I can override the default "N" with y.
