Sergio Callegari, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better.

As per https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases your release is EOL.

If this is reproducible with a supported release of Ubuntu, it will help immensely if you filed a new report with it by running the following from a terminal:
ubuntu-bug sane-backends
