Comment 84 for bug 116990

I can confirm the problem in the latest Hardy x86. If crossfade is enabled, the sound becomes choppy instead of the more annoying clicking/snapping/crackling. This seems to happen every time a menu is clicked, any window is resized, any window is minimized or maximized.
