When I turn key mapping 'us' off, all functions mentioned seems to work. This might be related to https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/478215 in which I describe that many keys do not work, unless in 'us' mode.

So the situation is now:
- when in default mode, some keys like <>,.[]{} do not work (workaround: switch to 'us' mode)
- when in 'us' mode, numerical en navigational part do not work or not as expected.

Placed between a rock a hard place? :-(
