Default key mapping (derived from GNOME setting) in grdc does not work

When creating a new connection, the default keyboard mapping does not show anything (empty string); when using the empty default, most extended characters like !@#$% and []{}<>,. are note reachable (i.e. they show another character).

As a workaround, changing the key mapping to 'us' let you type several (mentioned) characters.
Because us-keyboards are very common, this is quite a good solution, but it would be better if the default key mapping 'just works'.

Defaulting to "us" will make people with a different keyboard mapping unhappy because they have to change it every time. If no mapping is set, grdc takes GNOME's default one which, in my opinion, seems a safer choice.

Maybe the workaround (setting mapping to 'us') is not the ideal solution for the problem. What I like to see is that grdc is working for most of the people without changing anything. Defaulting to GNOME settings is indeed good.

But it seems like this default (GNOME setting), is not working good for grdc, hence the workaround. On my system 'us' is set for GNOME, hence this setting is not adapted right.

If this is the case, I'll adapt the title to something like:
"Default key mapping (derived from GNOME setting) in grdc does not work"
(Body) as a workaround: set mapping to 'us'

Sounds good, I'll see how make it available, maybe when I'll prepare things for remmina 0.7.0 (the successor of grdc).

I've tested this again with Ubuntu 10.04 + Remmina 0.7.4
- no setting: none of the extended character work (as described in the bug description)
- 'us': all keys work
- 'common': all keys work except '<' and '>'

My conclusion is that is still necessary to deviate from the default setting.
