I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 and have hissing after the playback is initiated or continued after a pause in VLC 2.0.3 and Exaile 0.3.2.2. I'm using Creative's Audigy 2. Workaround #23 doesn't work.

Can you be of any help with this?
