Indeed, there is something wrong with the alsamixer function. I cannot open it as gui, but it will open in terminal.
From therminal I could turn up the volume of the front speakers. Now sound is working again, also after boot.up.
It is just that you need alsamixer to do this. And, alsamixer is not supported by canonical.
