I have done the following things but all of them doesn't resolve the problem fully:
- options snd-hda-intel power_save=10 power_save_controller=N is commented out in /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-conf
- pulseaudio-dev PPA didn't help so i reverted back to the original pulseaudio packages with apt pinning
- i installed kernel 2.6.32, that did not help so i reverted back to 2.6.31
- /etc/pulse/daemon.conf : uncommented the line enable-lfe-remixing=yes -> now the subwoofer is working again, but the high noise is not gone
