Hi. Could you please install pulseaudio package from Maveric into Lucid, and check if it helps?
Maybe in that way?:
Step 1: Fetch the maveric .deb file. You can get this from: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/natty/+package/pulseaudio
Step 2: Remove the current version of pulseaudio from your machine. sudo dpkg --purge pulseaudio
Step 3: Install the version that you downloaded in Step 1. sudo dpkg -i pulseaudio .....deb
