Carlos, to be sure its the same bug, please follow the procedure outlined here, https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PulseAudio/Log but at the beginning of the line where you call pulseaudio -vvvv, add PULSE_NO_SIMD=1. So the line should look something like this:
If you still get odd sound when changing volume/using 5.1, then you are not affected by this bug and the above fix won't help you, so you will need to file a new bug.
