I was running 1:0.9.22~0.9.21+stable-queue-32-g8478-0ubuntu1 and still had this problem, but when I tried again today it worked fine, so a recent update must've fixed it for me. I believe the update was

[UPGRADE] libpulse-browse0 1:0.9.22~0.9.21+stable-queue-32-g8478-0ubuntu1 -> 1:0.9.22~0.9.21+stable-queue-32-g8478-0ubuntu4
