I have the same problem in Ubuntu 9.10 (32bit) and my ASUS A7n8x Deluxe. I wanted to try the "/etc/pulse/default.pa"-hack, but "load-module module-hal-detect" is nowhere in this file.

What should I do? Make my own bug-report?
