Ok I managed to fix it

rm -rf ~/.config/chrome-remote-desktop/pulse*

Looks like chrome remote desktop app (which i was using) took over my sound card in gnome settings, weird :/

It's good if you can't reproduce a bug any more. Although your AlsaInfo.txt shows the main problem was that pulseaudio wasn't running at all:

Pulseaudio:
      Installed - Yes (/usr/bin/pulseaudio)
      Running - No

Let us know if you wish to investigate that problem again.

Thanks Daniel, I have reported another bug with the same issue this time with alsa running.

solution is exactly the same

I just realised that removing chrome remote desktop config isn't enough. Like I mentioned on my PC i had the same issue. I had to remove .config/pulse too and restart to make it work

Unfortunately it is a recurring bug, and yet again I have no sound detected in gnome settings

Next time the problem happens, please check if you have a 'pulseaudio' process running. If not then please follow these instructions:

  https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Responses#Missing_a_crash_report_or_having_a_.crash_attachment

If you do however have a 'pulseaudio' process running (as yourself) and still no audio then please run:

  apport-cli --hanging -P PID

where PID is the process ID of the pulseaudio process. Then tell us the new bug ID created.
