To be considered complete, a bug report should normally contain:

    * The version of Ubuntu you are running
    * The version of the package you are using (look at Synaptic Package Manager)
    * The actions taken to produce the problem
    * Whether or not it is possible to reproduce the bug
    * The expected result of these actions
    * The actual result of these actions

I think this bug is a duplicate of https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pidgin/+bug/653797 but I'm not completely sure. Could you please take a look at the other bug and tell us if are having the same problem? Cheers!
