Comment 5 for bug 529375

I did restart - I even logged out and back in again. I was using the Ambiance theme, though so maybe that made a difference?

But it is working correctly now. I've just upgraded pidgin to the ~md1 version (ie not just pidgin-data which was all I could upgrade yesterday) and just had to restart pidgin to get the right background colour. Perhaps I needed the updated the pidgin package too? Anyway, thanks for the fix.
