To get a solution that survies upgrades; copy the wireshark.desktop into your "user profile".

cp /usr/share/applications/wireshark.desktop ~/.local/share/applications/

+ change the Exec line to

Exec=env LIBOVERLAY_SCROLLBAR=0 wireshark %f
