Apparently the OpenMedSpel guys don't have any idea about how their installation is supposed to work under Linux...
"Thank you for the information. We do not use Ubuntu or any other form
of Linux on a regular basis, so I cannot really answer any questions.
The installation instructions for OpenMedSpel were developed for
installation on Windows, which may be a source of the problems."
I'll have to see if this is an OOo bug by reporting it upstream and seeing it they yell. :-\
