I have a 32-bit system where this does not happen:

Linux --- 2.6.24-19-generic #1 SMP Wed Jun 4 16:35:01 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux

openoffice.org-core : 1:2.4.1-1ubuntu1

Question #1: Is there a problem with the 64 bit distro of OO.org?
Question #2: Could there be something conflicting since this isn't consistent across systems?
