Bug Description

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

I've just upgraded to OpenOffice.org version 1:2.4.0~rc2-1ubuntu3. Now in all open files the save icon in the toolbar is never greyed out, and whenever I close a window I get the "The document <title> has been modified. Do you want to save your changes?" dialog even if I haven't made any changes.

Not a bug, its intended to work that way, see the master bug for the upstream bug report where people asked to have it changed to operate in that way.

This is actually two different bug reports. That is, it reports issues with two different behaviors.

I agree that the first issue (icon is not grayed out) is a duplicate of bug 208786.

However, the second issue (prompt for saving) has been reported in separate bug 384375.
