Thanks for the report; I suspect this is Debian #605899 https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=605899 which was fixed in nullmailer package 1.10-1

I'll leave the bug open for reference, until 1.05 expires from LTS next year.
Hope I'm not teaching my grandmother but perhaps someone can backport a more recent version for you, or apply that fix and rebuild 1.05 ? (I don't have an Ubuntu dev system myself, sorry).
