Bug Description
Hi
We have a number of IPv6 single stacked servers (i.e. they do not have IPv4 connectivity) running Ubuntu server 12.04 (LTS). It seems that Nullmailer is not able to send e-mails via IPv6. I have tested it on Ubuntu 13.10 and it works (same network, configuration and so on).
The log says:

# cat /etc/nullmailer

An e-mail address has been configured in the adminaddr file.
It is not a firewall-issue. When I test with tcpdump no packets are being transmitted from the server to the relay host. As previously stated it works on Ubuntu 13.10 (Version: 1:1.11-2) on the same network with the identical configuration.

Thanks for the report; I suspect this is Debian #605899 https:/ /bugs.debian. org/cgi- bin/bugreport. cgi?bug= 605899 which was fixed in nullmailer package 1.10-1
I'll leave the bug open for reference, until 1.05 expires from LTS next year.
Hope I'm not teaching my grandmother but perhaps someone can backport a more recent version for you, or apply that fix and rebuild 1.05 ? (I don't have an Ubuntu dev system myself, sorry).
