Thanks for your reply; I now believe the fault is with
Linux and not NOTEEDIT as it crashes when Print or Print Preview is
invoked in other Music notation programs.
I have installed Noteworthy Composer in Ubuntu .04 using Wine and it works
well after a few fonts are modified ; I installed it in Ubuntu 9.10 and
the fonts are correct but no sound, so I am sticking with Ubuntu 8.04.
