Comment 20 for bug 929969

I have exactly the same issue. I installed using the alternate cd image. During the setup I only configured the ssid and password of my network and it seemed it was working. In the network indicator the status appears to be 'device not managed'. I see that ath_pci is blacklisted, but if I try modprobe the module is not found.
