Package: nedit
Version: 1:5.3-1
Severity: normal

This is almost certainly a bug in Nedit, but I am CCing Branden
Robinson because I was having difficulty finding a concise summary of
the different kinds of X11 copy buffers and how they relate, and was
hoping to draw on his expertise to better pinpoint what exactly might
be going wrong.

To reproduce:

Work with other applications copying and pasting information from
various other apps (from Konqueror into Emacs, for instance).

Start Nedit, type some text.

Select that text, copy it, and paste it a few times.

Go back and write in some text again. Copy that, and paste it a few
times.

By the time you have gone through this, somewhere in the middle you
are very likely to have pasted something random that was copied from a
previous application (after first having this reported to me I could
reproduce it on two other machines running unstable in less than a
minute each).
