Comment 9 for bug 229797

I reboot the machine everyday at noon and it reduces the occurences but I still get the problem once in a while. There was an Ubuntu update of MythtTV lately, I don't know if it changes anything, I haven't had time to look into it, I'm a bit short on time and end up spending only one evening a month on my HTPC setup. Would you mind sharing your script, I think it would help raise the WAF? Do you run it as a cron?

I feel your pain Ianic. This bug is affecting 1 recording every 2
weeks, or so, always at the worst possible time. I've resorted to
writing a script that monitors the backend log file for this warning
message, and if found, restarts the backend process. At least this way
I only lose the first minute instead of the entire recording.

I have been seeing recordings fail with an error message that was supposed to have gone away ages ago. I've got two Air2PC cards that have been working fine for over a year, and up until Hardy I've never seen this problem.
