* I'm no longer convinced that I was correct above when I claimed that the version of the evdi kernel module and library shipped with Ubuntu are newer than the version shipped with the installer available on displaylink.com. I might be wrong about that.
* When I use the versions shipped with Ubuntu instead of the displaylink.com installer, on Ubuntu 19.04, then I can only use DisplayLink monitors under Wayland, i.e., they aren't detected under Xorg.
