3.0.7-still happening. I think what's happening is Firefox insists on opening in a "almost full screen", albeit unmaximized. Then, when I double click the title bar it chooses to actually maximize...and probably vice versa.

Safe mode caused Firefox to open in a half-screen vertical frame, which could then be double clicked to go maximized.

Therefore, I believe this problem is still apparent. I'll try to open upstream, but I don't really know how to do that.
