I have since removed and re-added my gtalk accounts, and have been using the workaround of bug #1069531 as often as required (killall signonpluginprocess).

I don't know if this bug is related to bug #1069531. Maybe they are the duplicates?

If this bug happens to me again, I'll try to find the time to investigate more.
