We strongly recommend that you use a secure app, like Gmail, to access your account. All apps made by Google meet these security standards. Using a less secure app, on the other hand, could leave your account vulnerable. Learn more.

Google stopped this sign-in attempt, but you should review your recently used devices:"

I am running Ubuntu 15.04 and get a "Sign-in attempt prevented" email from Google about once a day from my machine. I assume this an Ubuntu application that signs in to Google without the o-auth.

I have since removed and re-added my gtalk accounts, and have been using the workaround of bug #1069531 as often as required (killall signonpluginprocess).

I don't know if this bug is related to bug #1069531. Maybe they are the duplicates?

If this bug happens to me again, I'll try to find the time to investigate more.
