As I already stated, the kernel restarts the computer in very early stages of the boot process, so it is impossible to get to a terminal. I set the status to "Confirmed", but if you know any kernel parameter which can help getting to a terminal, I would be glad to test it. On the other hand, I have a Ubuntu 10.10 installed on this system, so I can paste logs from there if you like.
This is my second bug report which is related to kernel team. I hope this one gets resolved before release, as I wish to use xubuntu from now on.
