Bug Description
When I try to boot xubuntu 11.10 beta2 ISO using GRUB, at the very first stages of the boot process, I get messages about the kernel unable to boot CPU #2 of my system, and in no time the system is restarted. I know no way to report the messages exactly.
The same hardware has been running ubuntu 10.10 for a long time, and I can boot ubuntu 11.10 beta2 (not xubuntu) exactly the same way. From the ubuntu 10.10 system installed, I can provide the information below (and what might be needed):
$ uname -a
Linux fmdesktop2 2.6.35-30-generic #54-Ubuntu SMP Tue Jun 7 18:41:54 UTC 2011 x86_64 GNU/Linux
