Bios update and resetting bios to defaults fixes all hardblocks for me on x121 too.
It might be noteworthy that there is a nice method for updating the bios without the need for an optical drive or a microsoft operating system: http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/BIOS_update_without_optical_disk
