I've just download and applied the following file for the above patch. (by double clicking and installing)

linux-headers-2.6.32-33-generic_2.6.32-33.71~lp811745r1_amd64.deb

However it did not resolve the issue on my system. External USB hard drive with NTFS file system (samsung 1TB hard drive) still causes the system to freeze if I attempt safely remove.

Is there anyway I can double check if I installed the suggested patch successfully?
