I'm running fedora 13 and downgraded my kernel to kernel-PAE-2.6.32.14-127.fc12 from a fedora 12 mirror. I also installed the matching kmod-nvidia (kmod-nvidia-2.6.32.14-127.fc12.i686.PAE-195.36.24-1.fc12) from rpmfusion, and am now able to login.
