This is almost certainly a hardware/firmware bug. Please try the following workaround (of appending the text to the options snd-hda-intel line in /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf):

enable_msi=0

If that is insufficient, please use:

enable_msi=0 position_fix=1
