Hi David

Many thanks for posting the driver.

In my efforts to get this card working, I've ended up on the Beta of Ubuntu 9.10 (Karmic) with Kernel 2.6.31-14-generic

I've tried making the drivers, "make" completes successfully, but I get the following error when I "sudo make install":

make[2]: Entering directory `/usr/src/linux-headers-2.6.31-14-generic'
  CHK include/linux/version.h
  CHK include/linux/utsrelease.h
  SYMLINK include/asm -> include/asm-x86
make[3]: *** No rule to make target `kernel/bounds.c', needed by `kernel/bounds.s'. Stop.
make[2]: *** [prepare0] Error 2
make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-headers-2.6.31-14-generic'
make[1]: *** [modules] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/mark/Desktop/rtl8192se_linux_2.6.0010.1012.2009/HAL/rtl8192'
make: *** [install] Error 2

I've made sure that the kernel headers and source and also build-essential are all installed, but still no luck.

I can see from the readme file included with the drivers that it should work on Karmic, so I'm guessing that I'm either doing something wrong or that something is wrong with my Karmic install.

I've Googled the error and been through the Ubuntu Forums and have found other people with similar issues, but I can't find anything to help me with this issue.

Any help that anyone here can provide would be gratefully received.

Thanks and kind regards

Sweevo
