I have put packages on http://people.ubuntu.com/~ikepanhc/lp276949/
Please download http://people.ubuntu.com/~ikepanhc/lp276949/linux-image-2.6.28.10-ikepanhc-lp276949_lp276949_i386.deb, then double-click on it for install it
After reboot please try if the webcam works or not.
After testing, please use the following command to the following command in Terminal
# sudo dpkg --remove linux-image-2.6.28.10-ikepanhc-lp276949
If any result, please let me know.
If you have never upgraded kernel, I suggest to have a backup of your important data (Just in case, I never damaged my system with kernel upgrade)
