Fix mentioned by Fabian Neumann seems to work. http://en.opensuse.org/Pm-utils#Configuration

sudo nano /etc/pm/config.d/config

SUSPEND_MODULES="button ehci_hcd"

Reboot, and it seems to work pretty well.
