i followed Thermaltaker (#7) post and it worked on NEO B3185 with Atheros AR5007EG. This helped me and it worked, https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WifiDocs/Device/AR5007

it needs only to be updated, in my case, the

madwifi-hal-0.10.5.6-r4016-20090429/scripts/

was updated to

madwifi-hal-0.10.5.6-r4068-20090705/scripts/

and it worked including the one after Updating the Kernel
