Hi!
I become same error on Asus F5N AP222. In grub's menu.lst i have the "all_generic_ide" kernel parameter, but i still cant reboot the notebook. I have currently Jaunty.
before i had intrepid, and with this same settings worked well the reboot, until i have upgraded to jaunty. (i have another kernel parameter too iommu=noaperture)
