Touchpad problem does not affect me (using HWE kernels).
Fingerprint reader does not work. Unfortunately it's in the list of libfprint unsupported devices:

Though they say that it *might* work, if the missing PID is added to libfprint sources:
«For elan, there is a good chance that the driver works by just adding the PID. Note that the driver is still not very reliable and as such it is known that verification tends to work badly on these devices. If you can verify it works, please open a MR against libfprint to add it to the device table in elan.c.»
