OK, I installed that kernel and everything is the same: no sound devices and only the Dummy output device.

But as I said initially, changing my kernel does not seem to help. I jumped back to my old kernel and it didn't help. It seems that some other package is doing this. I just don't know which one...

If there is any other info I can provide that might help narrow it down, let me know....
