Daniel, are you certain I don't have a broadcom? My external USB wi-fi device (that I used only to post the bug) is Realtek. The link I posted from Lenova, says the computer has a broadcom internally.

Also, I have a kernel that's greater than 3.10, already. I'm using 3.8.0-29-generic.
