Bug Description
After upgrading to the latest kernel version, I am unable to boot, and receive just a blank screen. Removing the 'quiet splash $vt_handoff' options (but keeping nomodeset, which I normally use), I get a flashing cursor, but nothing else. I can boot into recovery mode and press 'resume boot', but X does not load.
(I reported this bug from 3.5.0-15, so some of the apport information could possibly be wrong)

Does this issue also happen in the 3.5.0-16 kernel?
