Comment 36 for bug 1058303

I believe I have this issue with my AO722 on quantal, though my symptoms are a little different as I have a cryptsetup root, so I never get to the passphrase prompt. I do typically get a black screen on first boot, but can ctrl-alt-del, and boot proceeds normally the second time through.

My question is this: the test kernels henrix posted are 3.2 series. quantal's on 3.5. Can I use these safely? Or should I expect quantal to have this fix integrated?
