Actually a quicker thing would be for me to bisect between v3.5 and Ubuntu-3.5.0-7.7. To do that, we just need to confirm that v3.5 final does not have the bug. Can you test v3.5 final, which can be downloaded from:

http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.5-quantal/
