I'd like to perform a bisect to identify the commit that caused this regression. We first need to identify the kernel version that introduced the regression. Can folks affected by this bug test the following kernels and report back the results:

v3.3: http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.3-precise/
v3.4: http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.4-quantal/

It would be great if the latest mainline kernel can also be tested to see if this is fixed upstream:
